Granada Ventures is the highly profitable and fast-growing consumer products division within ITV Plc. The company currently works with almost 200 licensees throughout 70 countries, with more than 1,000 product lines across Children’s, Entertainment, Sports, Comedy, Drama and Film properties. Specialist licensing and marketing teams are based in London and LA, with group offices in Germany, Australia, Brazil and Hong Kong.
As well as representing the core ITV brands such as Coronation Street, I’m a Celebrity..Get Me Out of Here and kids' favourite Pocoyo, Granada Ventures also works with other broadcasters, production houses and intellectual property owners, to help fully develop their licensing potential. Recent acquisitions include Cbeebies hit Numberjacks, one of the hottest pre-school properties this year, as well as long running representation of the iconic Little Britain and The Catherine Tate Show, and evergreen classic Thunderbirds. Granada Ventures also acts as the media and licensing partner for big name sport brands including Arsenal and Liverpool football clubs , with the Commercial Sport Services division representing media, sponsorship advertising and on line rights for leading soccor clubs and sports organisations.
In addition to licensing, Granada Ventures is also a major player in the home entertainment market. ITV DVD is the DVD publishing division of Granada Ventures, and is the company behind one of the UK’s most comprehensive film and video collections, featuring over 3000 titles. The range includes popular children’s titles (Numberjacks, Thunderbirds, Pocoyo, Engie Benjy), award-winning drama (Inspector Morse, Cracker, Prime Suspect, Murphy's Law, Lewis, Ultimate Force) premier sports (Arsenal, and Liverpool football clubs) and interactive DVDs (Little Britain Interactive, Classic Bullseye Interactive). ITV DVD also owns the largest English speaking film catalogue in the world, including contemporary films (Shawshank Redemption, Fabulous Baker Boys, Sophie's Choice), comedy greats (the Carry On collection), as well as the Rank and ITC film collections which contain over 1500 classic British films (Brief Encounter, The Red Shoes, A Matter of Life and Death). Granada Ventures Publishing department is responsible for exploiting the extensive video back catalogue, as well as looking after ITV's music rights and the literary rights for ITV and third party clients.
